Here for those who serve you.

Evergreen Fire Rescue is built on something rare — a team of both dedicated volunteers and career professionals, shoulder to shoulder, protecting the mountain community they call home. The Evergreen Fire Department Foundation (501c3) exists to make sure that team has everything they need: the training, the equipment, and the support to answer every call. This is neighbors helping neighbors. Not a distant institution — real people from Evergreen and the surrounding mountains showing up for each other when it matters most.

Your gift strengthens that tradition and keeps our mountain community safe. Give because the people protecting your home are your neighbors — and they're counting on you too.

Paul kirby Treasurer, Evergreen Fire Department Foundation

Paul Kirby joined Evergreen Fire Rescue (and EVFD) as a volunteer firefighter in 2021 shortly after moving into the Fire Protection District. He earned his EMT license in 2025 and sat 3rd seat on Engine 132 for much of 2024/2025 before accepting a full-time position in the Division of Fire Prevention in fall 2025. He moved to Evergreen with his wife in 2021 from where they take in the outdoor vistas and live to play outside.

Paul sends a gracious shoutout to the number of EFR family members who volunteered their time and wisdom to get the Evergreen Fire Department Foundation started, and all members of the Evergreen Volunteer Fire Department (EVFD) and Evergreen Fire Rescue (EFR) who serve(d) this organization with duty, pride and commitment.
